Welcome to the Aughrim and District Trout Angling and Conservation Club

The club is based in Aughrim county Wicklow, Ireland

 

CLUB WATERS

  • Ow River: From Ballymanus bridge downstream to the confluence with the Derry Water (3km approx.)
  • Derry Water: From Annacurra bridge downstream to the confluence with the Ow river (1.5km approx.)
  • Aughrim River: The full length from its formation at the community field in Aughrim to where it joins the Avoca river in Woodenbridge (7km approx.).

 FISHING SEASON

Start on the 15th March, end on the 30th of September.

CATCH AND RELEASE ONLY: There is a club by-law of catch & release only currently in operation.

TROUT ANGLING DAY TICKETS AVAILABLE TO FISH THE AUGHRIM RIVER, THE OW RIVER AND THE DERRY WATER FOR WILD BROWN TROUT. TICKETS AVAILABLE IN DIFFERENT LOCATION:

  • The Post Office, Main Street Aughrim.
  • Lawless’s Hotel, Aughrim.
  • VanDerWel’s Garden Centre, Rathdrum Rd., Aughrim.
  • Woodenbridge Hotel, Woodenbridge.
  • Delaney’s Service Station, Woodenbridge.
  • Power Sound (Music & Fishing Tackle Shop), Main Street, Arklow.
